Third classes is a very distant possibility... it requires me to migrate mou to rathena, which is a huge amount of work, as I once explained before :S

I am uploading the files to the server, so I think you can already go and download the mou installer to get a new client. I still need to update eth website pages, but the files themselves were already uploaded.

hmmm i got everything i need, the update ragnarok files, and the mouro files but whenever i run it, sends me a message that the client stopped working...sigh help please :X

edit: after some testing, seems that the client is messing up in my computer and will stop working, surprisingly older clients enable me to enter to the character interface then will crash...wut

RO is updated, MouRO properly installed, and it will just.. stop working when you launch it? Hmm... I dunno, the client does launch here in my laptop and in my brother's machine as well, I hoped that'd be enough testing. Has anybody else been unable to launch the hexed client as well?

Well here, after putting the user/password and log in, it opens a window with the word "Error." on it and then it closes, but the program keeps processing , so I have to close the program every time in the Task Manager, and the times I try stack, so it's for each time I try.

Bomb, those missing files error mean you didn't install MouRO in the same place as RO was supposed to be installed. You should have "data.grf" (from the RO install) in the very same directory as the MouRO client.

I will have to try rehexing a new test-client and see if it works better.

Hmm... I am gonna try packing the dlls into a bundle, so that you only have to copy the data.grf file from another RO install. If it still breaks there, then... well, no choice but to try luck with a different client.

What OS you got, Serveriskill? I hope it's not something weird like Windows 8... :S

Also, new client didn't worked as well, same problem.

Well, I've managed to log in somehow, but some things still fail, like my accounts are empty (I can't see my characters), but I can't make characters with the names of the characters that I should see (so they still exist somewhere). I can access my storage and see my items normally. Also... everysingle shit is in Korean!!!

Well, the things I did might be meaningless, but I will tell each step I made.

First thing of all, I tried to play the damn game, but a window saying "Error." appears. After that I tried executing SavePath_Rag.exe and SavePath_Sak.exe, nothing changed.

Then I changed the data.ini file which was a little weird for me:
From this:
[data]0=bdata.grf1=adata.grf2=data.grf
To this:
[data]
0=bdata.grf
1=adata.grf
2=data.grf


Then I changed the folder wich my files were, my folder was named mouRO, then I made a folder named Ragnarok and put the mouRO folder inside it (so it's like \Ragnarok\mouRO\). After that when I tried to log in, the game told me that the directory changed, and in the second time I tried to log in a screen appeared. It's as meaningless as you can see. But there's music, so that's something. I couldn't do much in the screen as pressing enter sometimes and hear some "you choose something" sounds, it eventually crashes.
Then I tried to go somewhere else: opensetup.exe
Well, after choosing those configurations you go to that tiny log in screen and then:






And there, magic.
Also, my characters appeared only after I've created another character. I made sure it was created in a slot that was supposed to be empty, so I don't know what will happen otherwise.

i don't get well the part where you change the location of your mouro files, you put the mouro folder inside the ragnarok folder? or you just put all the files from inside the mouro(into the ragnarok folder)  leaving it empty? :X 
also i dont understand what you did with the opensetup, thanks in advance.

I put the mouRO folder inside the Ragnarok folder.
If nothing changes then I think you gotta do something I just remembered I did sometimes, I've executed SavePath_Rag.exe and SavePath_Sak.exe before changing the folder's place.
The opensetup is simple, I've changed the configurations, there's a link to those configurations in the word opensetup.exe, I'll put here: https://2img.net/r/ihimg/a/img593/6863/44ea.jpg
It's in portuguese so I've translated some things, try to change the configurations to how it is.

Hmm.... that data.ini line-break issue was unexpected. It's somewhat surprising it works on my Win7 laptop.

Anyway, I've added the dlls to the installer, so I can try a "fresh" mouRO install which only needs the data.grf from the RO installation... and it crashes when it's time to show the character select screen

At least this means I have something to work on now to try to fix this :S

PS: Took me a while since I wanted to update the RO install in my laptop, too :S

Nope.... it works correctly here. I just had a lame bug with a missing skin/ directory :/

In any case, I updated the installer to again include the "dll" option. If you install that and then copy the data.grf and "skin/" directory of a normal RO installation, it SHOULD work. If it doesn't, then I blame Windows. Though it might be some different dll missing somewhere (which is different from the ones in the machines I tested in).

The two machines I used to test were : Linux (through wine), and a Windows 7 - 64bit edition.

Another thing to try is to run the setup (opensetup) once. Maybe the client is crashing because of the default video/sound settings?  However, opensetup is not perfect, it will not be read by the client if you launch it before the client is (because it works correctly when it's used by the client to save settings, and afterwards it works correctly if the options file already exists: hence, it only fails if you try to use it before everything else).

In any case, if you want to try with the opensetup and different settings, afterwards open the (text) file "OptionInfo.lua" in the "savedata/" directory, and make sure the first two lines are these:

CmdOnOffList = {}
OptionInfoList = {}

That will fix the file to be readable by the client.

If this still fails, I will look into hexing different versions of the client (with the minimum settings) to see if we can find something that works well for everybody, and then I will work on updating the server to support that version.
