Hmm,I don't know how many posts go in each page, seeing how in the bottom it reads "Page 1 of 1",it does mean there should be a limit. It seems to be higher.

You'd rather it be just 10 posts per page?

Also, client-side the skill-tree is tied to the class. So having free class combinations would be possible, but it means you'd have to invent a client-side class for every single combination. Not to mention, how do you handle the prerequisites when you don't have the required skills from the first class? O>O' I think it would lead to over-complicating things... :<

Actually I make up most stuff while reading other people's posts and while writing mine.
The best ones come up when I'm playing (and I've been playing).
So well, they actually have an end, but the end changes everytime.

why not create a class instantly from clif.c and status.c? I admit creating a class out of thin air would be a challenge but it seems feasible. As for the prerequisites, that's what discrimination loops are for.

Or you could make another test server specifically for this.

But seeing how Skot 'has all the time in the world' might as well let him decide what he's gonna do while we pour in our ideas. Who the fuck cares if Vitriol doesn't play anyway?

No reason to suggest stuff if we don't even know the way Thirds are going to be applied.
I at least will shut up over this subject until then (hey, a miracle), well, when talking about Skill changes and such.

Probably? This sounds debatable, obviously...lol.

I liked skots way of implementing thirds but I'm also fine with the standard way, I just don't care for thirds until they get balanced by some means since the last time I've tried them somewhere else,I saw horribly broken skills everywhere. I know it's gravity, but that's bad.

In all seriousness, I wanna see how Mou implements 3rds the vanilla way. Our end game content sucks so why not prolong it with more grinding? Deep down inside you all know you like mindless grinding.

One way to give Mou an eternal grinding is to give that Lvl-stealing NPC more uses... like rewards for your stolen levels. It could even be something that affects everyone like an event. "When a certain ammount of energy is reunited, THAT monster will appear". Or anything else.
It could have many effects, so the server could "move" by the energy taken from players.

that is a horrible idea. only one mvp for the entire server. how are the drops distributed? maybe the person who gets all the drops did not contribute to the level npc at all, while the contributors get nothing at all. what about the timing? what if the person who contributed the most just happens to be offline when it appears?
ppl are gonna get pissy about it.

It's not only me and Skotlex who made the ideas of the first post. I can post more suggestions for Thirds and then yeah, we should have to change this thread's name, but I'm tired of suggesting cause all I get is a painfull reception and nothing gets updated. The problems are around, I give an idea and I not only get a punch in the face, but the problems aren't solved, so I give up on this.
